Sponsorship

The children in the remand centers where Sixty Feet works face many challenges that children should not have to face. Possibly the greatest hardship for these children is not knowing. Not knowing if anyone is coming back for them or what their futures hold. Many children face these daunting questions alone, with no one to rely on but themselves.

Through Sixty Feet’s sponsorship program, the vital needs of these children are met while building relationships rooted in the love of Christ. An encouraging letter or picture means the world to these children by showing them they are not alone. The opportunity to attend school gives them hope for a better future. Above all, sponsorships communicate to these precious lives that someone remembers them. Someone is on their side, praying for them and standing beside them.

General Sponsorship for Transient Children in Remand Centers

The General Sponsorship fund is a vital part of supporting the children that come and go from remand center “M.” For $30 a month, sponsors help meet the immediate needs of our transient children in remand homes, giving them hope even as they are imprisoned.
Included in general sponsorship are: school fees, school uniforms and supplies, basic healthcare, and routine counseling/mentoring.

Sponsorship for Children Placed in Outside Programs

In some cases, Sixty Feet assists in removing children from the remand centers and settling them into outside facilities. These homes are places where children can thrive in healthy, family-like settings. For $50 per month, sponsors can provide a formerly imprisoned child with room, board, school fees and related school supplies, basic healthcare and Christian counseling.
